Alexandre Girault - Hybrid Wichurana Rose

Creator: Barbier, França, 1909
Origin: “Wichurana Rose” x “Papa Gontier”
Flowers: 7cm
Height: 10 m

It is a set of this beautiful climber that covers the central pergola rose garden of L'Hay-les-Roses near Paris. The flowers of medium size, have a hot red color that glows in the sunlight and have a faint white-pink on the reverse of the petals and yellow reflections of its center. The foliage is green and the branches are quite flexible.
They appear in great profusion, in elegant clusters in early spring and occasionally in smaller numbers, in early autumn. This vigorous rose, is one of Barbier most known roses.
